Dr. Grace Opuni-Darko is a distinguished global leader, transformational entrepreneur, and visionary in healthcare and ministry. Renowned for her unwavering commitment to service, she has made remarkable strides in expanding access to quality healthcare, empowering underserved communities, and championing women’s leadership across the globe. Grace Opuni-Darko was born in Ghana, West Africa, relocated to the United States as a teenager and has since embarked on an extraordinary journey marked by academic excellence, professional innovation, and spiritual leadership. She is married to Rev. Jonathan Darko, and together they are the proud parents of four remarkable children.
Academic Excellence and Thought Leadership
Dr. Opuni-Darko is a lifelong learner who exemplifies the transformative power of education. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern California and has earned three master’s degrees in Nursing, Business Administration, and Healthcare Management from the University of Phoenix. In 2024, she earned her Doctorate in Global Leadership from George Fox University in partnership with Jakes Divinity School. Her dissertation, “Examining the Synergy Between the Marketplace and the Church in Ghana: Strategies for Enhancing Socio-Economic Development,” presents innovative strategies for integrating faith and economics to foster sustainable development in our global economy.
Entrepreneurship and Global Impact
A dynamic and purpose-driven entrepreneur, Dr. Opuni-Darko is the Founder and CEO of Grace Compassion Home Health, Angels of Care Hospice, and Compassionate Assisted Living—rapidly growing healthcare organizations based in Dallas, Texas that serve patients with excellence, dignity, and compassion. Her visionary leadership and deep compassion also led to the founding of the Grace Compassion Foundation, a U.S.-based 501(c)(3), and the Grace Compassion Global Foundation, an NGO in Ghana. These foundations are dedicated to empowering marginalized populations through healthcare, education, youth and women’s initiatives, and sustainable community development. Dr. Opuni-Darko is also a part-owner and board member of Dickey’s Franchise Restaurants and serves as a trusted consultant in business development and healthcare operations.
Leadership in Ministry and Advocacy
A passionate advocate for global missions and faith-based empowerment, Dr. Opuni-Darko serves as an Elder at The Potter’s House and is a sought-after motivational speaker at conferences and leadership events both locally and internationally. She serves on the board of the Jesus Girls Rock Leadership Foundation as the Corporate, National, and Global Partnership Director, where she builds alliances that strengthen community and organizational impact.
In 2024, she was appointed Distinguished Patron of the Ghana Women’s Association in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area, where she actively champions cultural preservation, women’s empowerment, and cross-cultural leadership. Her influence continues to expand through her work with chambers of commerce, civic initiatives, and global leadership platforms.
